fundamental properties of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), ion channels and cell
adhesion molecules to identify new drug targets and mechanisms.

Q. Pediatric Research
This program aims to become a world leader in the discovery of how
organ systems and organisms develop in health and disease and in translation of those discoveries
into prevention, treatment, and cure for disease throughout the life cycle.

R. Environmental Discipline
This program seeks to prevent disease and improve public
health through the integration of basic science and clinical research, and elaboration of mechanisms by which environmental exposures, alone or through interactions with other modifying factors, influence human health across the lifespan.

S. HIV/AIDS Research
This program seeks to improve the prevention, detection and
treatment of HIV infection, AIDS and related disease processes.

The high Cost of PCR Viral Load baseline and prognostic tests of 2-4 times per year pose a heavy financial burden toll patients being treated of HBV.
Given the with rising costs of Antiviral /Hepatologic Therapeutics or Supplements, most patients are unable to pay for viral load testing which makes therapeutic monitoring making it difficult.
MSRI has taken the initiative to provide free or subsidized PCR Viral Load Tests for baseline testing and therapeutic monitoring of patients diagnosed with viral Hepatitis B across West Africa
▪︎Hepatitis B Day Clinics
▪︎Clinical/Research Partners
▪︎HBV Disease Foundations
Population: Patients diagnosed with hepatitis B via RDT and confirmed with HBV Profile test.
